IT WAS...
a lovely ball of Baby Alpaca Brush Paint yarn. It was a BRAND NEW circular 10.5 bamboo needle. It was a wonderful needle which sported TWO points. It was a lovely start on a soft and yummy scarf. It was zipped up securely in a baggie. It was on the table (a large, high table) behind the couch. It was lying there waiting for me to come home and spend time with it.
It is NO MORE.
Newfoundland dogs, no matter how loving and adorable they are, how sweet their intentions, should keep their BIG LIPS off of my things!

Getting Back to Some of This

..although it is at a snail's pace. I have a scarf to finish and a hat that just needs some embellishment.
I signed up for a coaster swap that Amy is hosting. It's my first swap and I'm really looking forward to it. I am enjoying trying to imagine and figure out what colors, style, etc. that my partner would like. I hope I come close to the mark!
Have a good week.

U if for Unfinished
....and this is barely the tip of the iceberg. I took a few other pictures, but the light is so bad in this house, especially in winter, so I'll spare you trying to figure out what the heck each one is.
Unfinished as in "do not complete anything before you start something else" seems to be my mantra. I could argue that it keeps me from being bored, but that's not true. I am never bored. I just love to start projects and now and then I even surprise myself by finishing.
I refuse to feel remorse. After all, my mother who was crafty and talented as all get out, started me over 65 years ago and I am still a Work in Progress. I am proud to be "Unfinished".

Babbling, Blundering and Blogging Through B

Be still your hearts! I know that this Beautiful Bag will cause some of you to Blush and Bemoan the fact that you do not have one. It's Both Becoming and Bemusing...and yes, it's where I keep my circular needles, my measuring tape, my stitch markers, my needle gauges, stitch holders, double pointed needles, scissors and a Bounty of things. I can even fit a little Book or two in the pockets on the outside. It is not an original idea to me, I saw it somewhere, but can't give credit where credit is due. It works for me and I love it for its portability, etc.
B is also for:
Brendan, my Beloved son
Books...how could I live without them..they are everywhere, in the car in the Bathroom, in every room in the house
Blueberries..yum!
Burt's Baby Bees stuff
Bobbysoxer..I would have been one if I had worn shoes
Brontes
Baking Bread
Baobab trees..I want to see them up close and personal before I leave this world
Baroque music
Bach..Beethoven
Bluebonnets
Botticelli, Breughel
And since I've exceeded the Bounds of Brevity, I'll say Bye Bye.
Best!
