Our Creek

...which is calm
in summer..
raging in winter..
the gift of gamboling
river otters was seen.
Cannot see them in this photo
but the circles
of water
show where they were.
Would that I could
be such a one.
Freedom with my mum
by my side.
Joy in the water
rolling with the current
my brothers
and sisters by my side...

...a joy
to the eyes and heart.
*******
Taken from our bridge
which I cross most days
to get the mail.
Sending love and thanks
for all of the lovely comments
and connection with you.
Ellen

This really is such a lovely scene, bet, you have to stop
every time you go over the bridge, the tree on the left
I have never seen anything quite like it before it really makes the picture with the incredible dark blu water.
Beautiful!

I have only once seen a river otter in the wild, but I will never forget the moment. Such wildness so perfectly in sympathy with the environment. An otter, fishing ... perfection!

Otters are such fun to watch and I love the pictures of your cows. My daughter falls in love with cow's eyes. I will email you a picture of that, Ellen !

What a lovely post, ellen - I am so behind on blog reading that I missed it. Lucky you to cross a creek every day for your mail!

Otters are so fun to watch. They do seem to get a lot of joy out of life. :)
