you triggered a memory! my mother Lways made apple lie and popped on top of the pastry she added cloves the taste went into the apples made a lovely taste added with clotted cream yummy. love your chicken with orange , better than a room spray anytime. Babs and John
I must try the clove pomander - I remember being fascinated by the idea ever since my first childhood reading of "Little House in the Big Woods", where Ma gave Aunt Eliza (or Aunt Eliza gave Ma) a large apple stuck full of cloves as a Christmas gift.
I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I am a wife, mother of two, grandmother to three, and companion to two Newfoundland dogs, one feral cat and ten chickens. We have a wholesale nursery and grow many Japanese Maples.
