Mid Winter Love

fragile fingers
filigreed
hold maple seedling trees
outside the house.
mid winter love
encloses old trees.
love in the time of cold
grey skies,
skeins of fog,
sometimes snow and
often rain.
mid winter love
holder of
greeness in the
dark.
mid winter love.

best, e.

This is lovely, ellen! I saw some frilly moss just like that when hunting for a Christmas tree. It was so refreshing to see bright green in the wintertime. Beautiful poem and photos.

I echo the others' sentiments - beautiful words, beautiful pictures. Thank you for sharing this with us! Especially nice for those of us who don't get much green at this time of year.
