Inch by inch..

...row by row by row
Gonna make this garden grow
Inch by inch, row by row
Please bless these seeds I grow
Plant your rows straight and long
Season with a prayer and song
Mother Earth will make you strong
If you give her loving care
Inch by inch...
row by row
soon I'll see these lovelies grow..
Grain for grain, sun and rain
Find my way in nature's chain
Till my body and my brain
Tell the music of the land
Inch by inch...
row by row
let us make our gardens grow.
It is a difficult and confusing time.
 At least for me.
Growing a garden, planting seeds and knowing
that there is safe ground here
is a luxury. I do know that.
For certain.
I am a spoiled brat compared to most people
in this world.
For sure and for certain.
It is embarrassing to be so blessed.
But it is good to recognize
and give thanks for what I have,
and to reach out to others,
but how to do that best?
The difficult part,
does it even matter?
I sincerely hope so.
Oh, yes it does,
I know that for certain and for true.
How do you do it?

best to all, e.

I reckon being your good self is the best way to do it. It's amazing how much influence this has on those around you, and how you'll just do the right things and make the right decisions because of who you are.

The soil where I live is terribly depleted, and a lot of my neighbourhood has soil made toxic by white ant treatment decades ago. But still, we make garden boxes and bring good soil in and make lots of our compost to keep adding to it. There are ways, there are ways.

I think Leigh said it very well - by being your good self!
Being grateful goes a very long way as well I think! And I'm saying prayers over my garden, I'm trying new things and hoping that at least some of them will bear fruit or vegetable...

How fabulous to have found your blog after you took the time to write words over in the Attic ((thank you)) for that!!! Your photos are just beautiful and oh your words ring so true with me also!!
YES, i do believe i know exactly how you feel, sometimes I am also embarrassed at how charmed my life seems to be, how blessed i constantly feel day after day. Best thing to do I think is practice daily honesty and gratitude, to be mindful and thankful for all that is good.
Sending lots of love to you!
