Little Teeny Tiny Christmas Tree....

Posted by Picasa
...this could be the smallest, shortest tree we have ever had...but what the hey..I love trees that need a good home, the Charlie Brown trees that just cry for a bit of loving and acceptance. I cheer for the imperfect tree. After all, we do not have many ornaments and what we have either was made by us when we were too poor to rub two pennies together, or they were given to me by loved friends. Who could ask for anything better?
It's the spirit of the tree that matters, the intention of the decorator and the memory of the ornaments...so old, so falling apart and so precious that came from tiny hands so long ago and the caring circle of friends.

I always love to decorate Christmas tree, now my kids do the same. But Ellen, this Christmas would be different without my hubby at home...So sad, but I believe we'll learn "something" from our new situation here in the family. thank you so much for your sweet email..

I'm a champion of the Charlie Brown trees too. We certainly don't have the department store look at our house - the tree is covered with ornaments made by the boys throughout their school years, and as we bring each one out we take a trip down memory lane.
A tree decorated in love, that's what I see in your pictures!

the handmade ornaments are the best...with memories attached...of the maker...of the occasion...of the year. your tree looks beautiful and "spirited".

How beautiful!! The star in the middle, the lighting, all of the ornaments-so lovely and peaceful.

Thank you so much for the lovely Christmas wishes. And the same goes for you and your family. Don't worry, there will be lots of resting and not so much festing for me this year. I'll be lucky to get through making Christmas dinner :) All the best in the new year too.
