Favorite Things

Mrs G. at Derfwad Manor has enticed some bloggers to list a few of their favorite things. I am a day late, but what the heck. I'm not posting pictures because it's too early in the morning to rant and rave and turn the air blue with my swearing when I screw up trying to download something that inevitably I won't be able to find. So...here are a few..

Waking up without an alarm
Breakfast, big, huge artery clogging breakfasts of eggs, hash browns, sausage and bacon..love them, but don't eat them anymore. (well, hardly ever)
Books..forever and always
Music
A clean and organized house (which is a dream, because you actually have to work to make that happen)
My family, funny, irreverent and loving
Things that kids say...often funny, often prophetic
A large glass (or two) of good Scotch
Sitting quietly and just looking out the window at the beauty that surrounds me (with that Scotch?)
Coming home, opening the door and just being here where I live.
Good and ridiculous jokes

There's more but it's not one of my favorite things to bore people to death, so I'll stop here.

Best!

"Whisky has been produced in Scotland for hundreds of years. It is generally agreed that monks brought distillation with them along with Christianity in the fourth and fifth centuries." And all this from wiki:) Okay, since the monks brought in on I say GO FOR IT!! I would actually consider it a MUST do if one is a person of faith:-) I know, I tell ya...this Zen thingy I am doing is making me make the most outrageous comments:)Is it 5:00 pm yet?????? (big grin here for E)
Hugs and salute', Marylou

waking up w/o an alarm is the best. I rarely ever use one, my body knows when to wake up.

I'm with you on clean organized house...which mine is not, either.

I'm with Janet and Nora Bee...no alarm clock is so relaxing and liberating from the grind of the daily routine.

Thanks for sharing your list.
