It Has Been Forever....

.....it has been a very long time since I put this little space to bed. I have missed it and lots of things have happened; many good things and some not so good. I wanted to come back with a Sunday Stroll, but surprise, it has been raining. Here are a few out of season photos to get me started.
....

We grew some beautiful echinacea in the nursery...
...some beautiful Oregon sky...
...lovely Queen Anne in all of her glory..
....what beauty unfolds like linen when you unconsciously let a hosta die..
....these dried weeds are so lovely to me, I love the richness of the muted colors...

....wooly bear's bottom disappearing...
...lovely squash blossom. Our garden was poor this year. I think it was because we had no bees.
..thistles are not welcomed, except by me for their beautiful texture and color...
.......more beauty from the flowers.

It is good to be back.
Best to all, ellen.

I just read a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson that perfectly sums up these images! “To the attentive eye, each moment of the year has its own beauty, and in the same field, it beholds, every hour, a picture which was never seen before, and which shall never be seen again.”

I am so happy you are back. You were such a huge encouragement to me when I was struggling with the cancer side trip this spring. I cannot thank you enough.

It's great to see you back, too, Ellen! This blogging thing has something to recommend it, doesn't it. Thanks for your lovely comment tonight.

HOORAY!! You're back and with your wonderful and poetic photographs!!! I rarely use more than one exclamation mark, so you have to know that I am so glad you are back!
I love thistles too. I used to help my grandpa chop thistles in the pasture, but I'm sure I did it slowly because I would get caught up in their fascinating form...
